For me, it has to be
Dislikes:
Two mile walk to the bus stop
One shop, one pub, and the Post Office and the shop is extremely overpriced, and no bank machine.
Fecking MIDGES.
The "Hills of Donegal" song.
The "Up here we're different" ad that thankfully seems to have disappeared.
Pat the Cope.

Likes:
Mountains and scenery
Watching the tourists scratch their heads when they realise English has disappeared from the signposts.
Pretty much everything else.

Its a mixed blessing that everyone knows everyone else, because it means everyone knows your business.
Ten answers:
Im Irish Get Me Outta Here!

Dislikes:

-Everyone feels the need to know your business and gossip about it constantly from who your seeing to what your wearing, god forbid you should wear something "different"

-If you need something for xmas usually we have to head for Dublin or Waterford its like a tradition!

Likes:

-Kind of a contradiction but it is nice to see familar faces and know your next door neighbour but only the nice ones!

-I know all the bouncers in the niteclubs so its my 21st birthday every weekend so i can get in free!

Loads more but id be here all night and im gagging for tea! (how sad on a saturday night!)

Likes-

1- The people- we are one of the most culturally varied town in the country. Seriously. Finding an Irish person here is like a needle in a haystack, but I love it!

2- The train station. What a beautiful, convenient timetable they have God bless them!

3- Bus stop. Ditto.

4- The curry chips in the Red Square. To die for.

Dislikes-

1- The local bouncers- hello! 18 in a matter of weeks. Give a girl a break!

2- The fact you can only get i102-104 clearly if your the other side of the town.

* There is NO bookshop. Not one. I don't live the sticks either, I live in a TOWN.

* The crap cinema that only shows the cheapest movies they can get.

* The skangers.

* The white supremacist stickers on the lamp posts. Seeing as a lot of them seem to have Polish on then, I'm pretty sure they've been put there by Immigrants. Immigrants who don't like Immigrants eh? Who'd a thunk it? Thankfully, I think there's only a few people doing this but it pisses me off no end.

* There aren't enough weirdos! Everyone's so normal and boring.

* Anonymity isn't really possible. If you go into town it's inevitable that you'll see SOMEONE you know when you really just want to be alone (ha ha, that one's quite emo!)

Likes:

* The view of Mount Leinster from my house.

* Crotty's bread... mmm...

* Nice wooded areas that are within walking distance of the town centre.

I'm not a huge fan of my town to be honest. I can't wait to move somewhere else.

I'm from Cork.

Dislikes:

What! There's nothing to dislike about Cork!

Ok, except...

- I'd like to be able to cycle instead of driving, but the hills make it awkward unless you're extremely fit.

- I'd love a big park, something like St Anne's Park in Dublin.

- The public transport is very unreliable, but that's probably the same all over the country.

Likes:

- The fact that it's a small city is nice, most places are within walking distance.

- "West Cork" is only a relatively short drive away.

- The accent

- The sometimes insane sense of pride that Cork people have in their own city and county. I struggled to think of three things I disliked.
I should be doing something else

Dislikes:

In terms of shops, the place is like a ghost town. For a town wirth just under 30,000 people... In the 80s I remember lots of little family owned grocers etc, but with the arrival of the Tesco superstore it blew them all out of the water.

There is only one clothes shop - Bay Trading, and Im fairly confident I could make nicer stuff than the shite they sell.

Traffic congestion. Thanks to the bottle neck during rush hour it takes me at least an hour to travel the 9 miles or so to Belfast.

Cinema - I suppose I should be thankful we even have one, but this thing is depressing, it only has about 4 screens, and nowhere to get the usual food like ice-cream etc.

Likes:

Historical - and its a really nice looking town

Lots of really good bars and restaurants

Near the city - Provided you are not travelling in rush hour, you can be in Belfast in under 15 mins.

Good public transport
