we are going to Ireland in march 2010 15th I would like to know how much it will cost me to go by boat hovercraft

It depends where you are travelling to and from, your question says it originates in the US, you won't get a boat from the US to Ireland.



Presuming you are in the UK but on the American site for some reason. Which ferry company you are using? Also depends on the size of your car and if you want to book a cabin or not. If you book online as opposed to just turning up you often get a discount.



There are crossings from Hollyhead - Dun Laoghaire, Hollyhead - Dublin, Pembroke - Rosslare or Fishguard - Rosslare or even Stranraer - Belfast?



Just check with the relevant ferry company that is the easiest way of finding out, that is what anyone on here who answers your question will have to do so you could just as easily do that yourself.
