Try to find some youth hostels where you want to stay. And buy the travel book that the Irish government puts out. It will save you a lot of money and you can stay and eat in better places. Have a good adventure.

There are also some relatively inexpensive B & B's in some of the more "country" locations. You don't have to say in the big cities- ie, Dublin, Shannon, etc., since you can get a lot of places in a day or so.

Try to stay in Trinity college in Dublin during the summer. It is adequate and cheap, and you can't beat the location.
