Houses are getting cheaper by the month and long may it continue. It was the property boom which got us into this mess in the first place. Pure greed took over and the only people who got rich were builders, developers, solicitors and estate agents.

It's good to see they're all on their uppers these days but no doubt Fianna Fail are coming up with a plan to rescue their gangster buddies.

All depends - where in Ireland? Northern Ireland? Republic? Belfast? Donegal? Overlooking the sea? Rooms? etc etc

I had a look at www.daft.ie for 3 bedroom detached houses. €70,000 upwards Co. Limerick and Co. Roscommon (or other homes from €60,000 in need of modernisation, various counties) to €4,400,000 - luxury residence including Leisure Centre and 40 acres Co.Kerry, next most expensive was €3,750,000 with no extra land attached, Co.Dublin. Plenty available everywhere in the €150-200,000 range. And often lower prices if you choose semi-detached or terraced houses instead.

It depends on the house (size .style of house... The area it is located ..how much land is with it...and so on)

Expensive! Depends where you want to live and what type of house. But if you want an average house in the Dublin suburbs say it might be about 350,000euro. Or you could get a huge one for much cheaper if you lived on the west coast :)
