I was in Ireland in the summer and had the most wonderful time. I don't think there would be a bad time to go, imo...

The best weather is blatantly during the summer, but there are too many people on holiday then. Otherwise, I would suggest going in September or October. Beautiful time of year.

Fall. However since the weather is so unpredicable, (even in the summer)I would travel whenever the time is best for you. Summer prices are higher for the same weather you get in the early fall.
