Seeing how anti social is the behavior of the Irish children.... I prefer the English schools. At least in England you are treated equal no matter what race, nationality, religion you are. Things unknown for the Irish

Oh... how many times I will have to hear from the Irish how perfect is their country? But it really annoys me when they consider themselves educated. Go live in North inner city of Dublin and you will see how educated they are.

I really wonder why BBC doesn't make a zoom to the inner city of Dublin. Anyway keep on dreaming...

Irish is compulsory in primary & secondary school.

Irish children go into secondary school at the age of 12/13 rather then 11/12 like the UK, they go into secondary in Year 8 rather then Year 7.

Where England has the GCSEs & A Levels, Ireland has the Junior Cert & the Leaving Cert. The Junior Cert is not exactly the equivalent of the GCSEs and even though children can leave school at the age of 16, they don't have the same options available to them as children in England do, most kids remain in school to do their Leaving Cert. There aren't really any further education colleges, or the equivalent of the sixth form colleges, or alternatives to the Leaving Cert.

For the Leaving Cert, most kids do 7 subjects, English, Maths & Irish are compulsory and you can choose the other 4 subjects but you don't get the same range as you do in the UK.

In Ireland, when they say they're going to college, they mean they're going to University. There are colleges that do Post Leaving Certificate courses but they're not really described as college.

In Ireland, Gaeilge is compulsory in Primary and Secondary schools, but we do not generally do French until Secondary school.

The exams are more challenging in Ireland. We sit one exam on one day and that is all that matters- in some subjects we do projects, but they are only for about 20% of the total mark. Coursework is not worth any marks.

For the Junior Cert (like the GCSE) we study about 11 subjects and 7 for the Leaving Certs. We don't have options such as Drama or Sports Science. We do 'proper' subjects- English, Irish and Math are compulsory and you can choice another 4.

In the end, we are better educated.

The learning of the Irish lanhuage, completely different history course, completely different exam layout (England's is way easier), most schools would have a Catholic influence, Domestic Science is called Home Economics, Juniour school is called Primary, Highscool is called Secondary, most schools have gender assigned uniforms, gym is called P.E. and is usually taken only once a week in Secondary there's lots of stuff could you be a bit more specific?
