Irish Ferries?

We are going from Holyhead to Ireland by ferry at the end of February and people keep telling us it will be a nightmare crossing with very rough seas. Has anyone done it this time of year?

Yes, I used to work on their Swift fast ferry. The weather changes from day to day. Shouldn't be too bad, the worst weather is usually November/December. If it is a bad sailing, stay in the centre of the boat and drink plenty of water/7Up. Sea sickness actually comes from your body dehydrating, as your brain tries to reconcile the images your eyes are sending it. Go with the flow. Happy Sailing!

I regularly use the ferry...it can be a rough crossing but luckily the weather in Ireland around this time of the year is good so it should be alrite for you!!!!

It all depends of how good of a sailor you are really but my advice would be just relax and enjoy the journey.....and if you are not driving why not treat yourself to a few drinks-they make the sailing go even quicker!!!lol

Made crossing in early March, weather about the same, was rough and windy, but ferries are large and wide. Was a little bumpy! just don't go out on top deck, very windy!!!!! You'll be fine. I envy you . Loved the trip

Unpredictable at that time of year.Could be a mill pond or a tempest,same as any sea crossing it's subject to the vagaries of the weather.

I never travelled at that time of year but I hope you get lucky with the weather. The seasons are all mixed up and it could be good weather for travelling.

I've done it a couple of times - both times were great. Just depends on the luck of the weather.
